UPDATE: Apparently this ForwardJS Course is no longer available. If you are interested in learning about accessibility, you can check out my newer courses on Pluralsight.
Back in July, the fine folks at ForwardJS allowed me to give an "Intro to Web Accessibility" workshop. The workshop is now available online! In the midst of all the cool, cutting edge JS stuff they are known for presenting, they have always allowed me to teach on accessibility.
The course start's out with the fundamentals of what web accessibility is, the types of disabilities we have to develop for, and the important reasons why we need to do it. I also try to bust some common accessibility myths and talk about the 7 top accessibility issues to be aware of. All throughout, I am using real-world code examples, explaining line by line, and discussing all the various options to think about.
The course is 6 hours long and I poured out all my knowledge and experience. If you, or someone you know, is looking to learn about accessibility in-depth then I encourage you to check it out and share.
Check out Intro to Web Accessibility over at the ForwardJS site.
